When researching, I came across Disney Land Paris’s ‘Captain Jack’s – Restaurant des Pirates’ which is a Captain Jack Sparrow themed restaurant that creates an immersive experience for all ages.
I found some images of the restaurant and it is completely themed around him as a character. From the colour palette, textures, lighting codes, environment etc. I think it is so cleverly thought out and a wonderful idea. I want to be able to create a restaurant with the same immersive feel to it as this one does.
I looked into how the restaurant works, and I believe they have theme dressed staff members, which I think could be a cool route to go down for my restaurant. However, it doesn’t give a very professional style to the workplace, so I could incorporate this idea through the event dates I am going to include, so on these occasions, the workers dress like the characters. For example, I one of the events I was going to include is a Sims 4 night, so all of the workers could wear a ‘plumbob’ on their head so they look like a Sim – a plumbob is the green diamond like shape that hovers over the Sims heads as they walk so you can see where they are. I think this would make the experience a bit more immersive.
