Over the past two weeks, I was commissioned to create icons for a web designer working with a business called ‘The Coffee Pod Company’. This project was not only engaging but also a valuable learning experience, allowing me to hone my design skills and understand the iterative process of refining a design based on feedback. It required me to adjust my designs to meet the client’s expectations, making changes as needed to achieve the desired outcome.
This project also taught me the importance of receiving advice and using it constructively to improve my work. Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity, and I’m really glad I had the chance to take it on. I felt especially proud because this was my first paid design project, which made it feel like a significant accomplishment for me.
Below are the icons I produced. The client’s initial instructions were quite vague and unclear, which made it a bit challenging to understand exactly what was expected. However, I decided to dive in and experiment, knowing I could always make adjustments later. It turned out that many of my initial designs were exactly what the client was looking for, which was a pleasant surprise.
