Finalising Designs, Rehearsing & Presenting
I started this week by finishing work on the mobile about us page, in preparation for the client presentation on Thursday. This page was a challenge to adapt to mobile, due to the large amount of content.

Prototyping, Mobile Checkout & Testing
This week, my focus was on completing both desktop and mobile checkout flows to a fully prototyped level, and making as much progress as possible on the about page. I started with with completing the functionality of the desktop checkout, making it ready for user testing by Maggie & Fergus.

Moving into High Fidelity
This week, we finished low fidelity and came together as a group to decide which elements to take forward into high fidelity.

Design Research & Low Fidelity
Following on from Week 22, we continued to work on a few tasks over the Easter break, the first being planning potential user testing tasks that we could use to form a script.

Competitor Review & Heuristic Analysis
In the second week of the project, I focused on completing my review and analysis of two competitors, and finishing my heuristic analysis and markup. During Easter, we’ll complete a group heuristic evaluation and I will aim to conduct several user tests.

BSc2a Project 1: Virgin Wines Briefing
On Monday of this week, we were introduced to the Virgin Wines project and briefed by Creative Director Graham Tracy. After forming a group, I organised the creation of a team Trello board to keep track of group tasks. By the end of Week 1, it looked as below.

Video, App Store Images & Final Improvements
This week I finished my app promo video, finalised the App Store images and the Figma design file for Project 5. I also finished my essay, and started my presentation slides and portfolio.

Prototyping, Testing & Project 6
This week, I made good progress and feel optimistic about the unit hand in deadline. I have now mostly finished all design aspects of the app, and have focused on prototyping which is now fully functional.

High-Fidelity Designs
This week, I really focused on getting the majority of the app fully designed, alongside making sure I had an essay draft ready for submission. I created component libraries, tweaked the colour use in the app and responded to user and tutor feedback.

Neville Brody – Talk
On Wednesday 24th January, Graphic Designer Neville Brody visited NUA to deliver a talk. It was fascinating to hear his unique perspectives and viewpoints on various aspects of design and how he approaches his work, even if the talk didn’t necessarily focus on areas of graphic design that I had a significant personal interest in.

Project 5: Mid Fidelity, Branding & High-Fidelity
This week, I aimed to focus on developing a clear brand for the app by choosing brand colours, a name, and a typeface.

Value Proposition Canvas & Project 5 Wireframing
In the first week of the Spring term, I focused on completing the Value Proposition Canvas to wrap up Project 4 and help plan the design, structure and content of my app for Project 5.
