Value Proposition Canvas & Project 5 Wireframing

In the first week of the Spring term, I focused on completing the Value Proposition Canvas to wrap up Project 4 and help plan the design, structure and content of my app for Project 5.

I have put the task of doing final personas to one side as my Provisional Personas are quite detailed – I built on them and added to them as Project 4 progressed – so I feel as though they will be helpful enough to inform my Project 5, and it would be a better use of my time to focus on starting the next phase of the project instead.

I started Project 5 with some rough wireframing and sketches on paper, and some rough notes and lists of what the actual structure and content of the app would look like. The VPC was invaluable in this process – having lots of thoughts and ideas in Project 4, it was necessary to condense them all down in a logical way.

Later in the week, alongside these sketches, I started working on a Low-Fidelity Prototype in Figma. I found this came along quite quickly, and I enjoyed the process of creating a structure and layout to resemble my ideas.

Alongside this, I have also started work on my essay. Having decided to go with the social media topic with a focus on the Stories feature, I have been researching potential case studies and looking for sources.

Next week, I want to take my Project 5 to Mid-Fidelity and think about the branding of it, and hopefully start to evolve it into High-Fidelity too.
