On Wednesday 24th January, Graphic Designer Neville Brody visited NUA to deliver a talk. It was fascinating to hear his unique perspectives and viewpoints on various aspects of design and how he approaches his work, even if the talk didn’t necessarily focus on areas of graphic design that I had a significant personal interest in.

Graduating NUA in 2021 from Graphic Communication, Sian Wong delivered a talk on her work over the past several years at Creative Production Agency Tommy. Sian began her career as a Junior Designer, progressing to an Associate Art Director, and now works as a Mid-weight Creative.

On 13th December, Katherine West & Lily West from Magpie studio visited NUA to speak about their work at Magpie and their journeys from graduating university to working in a studio like Magpie. Much of their talk focused on their journeys though, and was full of helpful advice to us as students.

Andy Larkin’s visit to NUA was extremely insightful and useful, with the opportunity to share our projects with him after his lecture/presentation beforehand.

On Wednesday 1st November, author of the updated edition of A Smile in the Mind Greg Quinton visited NUA to give a talk on his work, his process and his involvement in A Smile in the Mind.
