Project 5:

When looking at various fonts, I originally chose to go with ‘ Origamet Hamida’ which is presented above. This is because I loved the the slight leaf effect on the individual letters as it gave the name character as well as linking to sustainability.

However, once I produced my wireframes, I realised this font may come across as luxurious and not as soft as a diy app for reusing furniture. Because of this I began to investigate more fonts before coming across Circo. I loved the loose and soft curves of this font, reflecting the freedom users have when upcycling furniture as they get to make it their own. The font also mirrored my design of reviving furniture through the app from the use of progress wheels, loading icons and the idea something is being revived.

Once adding pages for shopping supplies and watching session videos. I wanted the user to be able to see what this project would like in their own home. This was in aim of introducing the stigma of testing before you buy, to help reduce carbon emissions through transport and wasted delivery.

Here I was going to form this as stages, however looking back at my personas, my target audience is those who share busy lifestyles. Therefore Revive offers users the ability to produce projects at different speeds, depending on how busy their life is. This is expressed by showing an estimated time on all projects so the user can choose which is most suited to them. This is also represented through pages when starting projects by insinuating it doesn’t all have to be done at once or in a particular order so in my design process I used chips so users can switch between different pages whilst style having an overview to remind them of their progress and achievements.

If this project was to be continued I would explore action buttons that whenever a user goes off the project page it would automactically stop the timer and remember where you stopped so when users come back they wouldn’t have to flick back through the pages and features to get to the point they last did.

If I was to continue with this project, I would explore the different ways I could present the process when reviving the project.

I would investigate how to edit a time reader as the user progresses through the project and to present how long they are taking.

Here when the page refreshes or leads to a new one, you have to start scrolling horizontally before the chips and frame appears- don’t know why- in the future it is something to look into.
