This week I really felt the pressure for time to complete Project 3 and come up with some ideas to have ready for the mid unit review next Monday for project 4. I didn’t know what to expect, how I should prepared for it as this is the first mid unit review not over teams, apart from having all the work ready to show Dave. Although I am doing as much work as I can, it still doesn’t feel enough as there is a lot to be done. I managed to complete majority of project 3, however the designs isn’t up to my standards but I know that I can continue working on this project up until the deadline in February. I am hoping that I can keep improving it with the skills that I continue to learn. From the feedback in my crit on Thursday, Rob brought to my attention that the colour scheme I had wouldn’t be up to A colour blindness accessibility. After this advice I decided to change my colour scheme to a dark colour with white text had more of a contrast and better accessibility for people, regardless of disability of device.

This is the article I read that helped me to understand how important accessibility and inclusivity is when creating a website.

I felt quite overwhelmed with the work load, however I managed to complete majority of project 3, considering many big changes I had to make. I struggled with trying to make my website look thrilling considering it was for thrill seekers, but the dining aspect seemed to contradict this. After looking at some websites from awwwards, I was able to identify certain elements that made the website seem more thrilling, like shapes and lines, as well as a dark and bold colour scheme.

Over the next few weeks I am going to make it my main priority to complete project 4 research and fully prototype project 3 also completing my 5th usability test for project 2 and project 3.
