After having the morning briefing on projects 4,5 and 7, we did this workshop as a class to discuss our opinions on AI and how we use it, incorporate it into our research and written work. There were a mix of opinions that we discussed and it gave me the opportunity to explain my thoughts to the class. We first started off by looking at different AI tools, their pros and cons and how much we used them. I hadn’t used any of AI tools to generate any images as I usually get them off google or unsplash, however I would like to try some out.
We also discussed where we see AI being taken in the future, 10 and 20 years down the lie. There were also a mix of opinions for this and it was nice to see other peoples perspectives. I personally think that in a few years AI is going to become more controlled and have a stronger bias as humans become more involved with the technology and want to have more control over what people have access to.
This workshop gave me more ideas on how I could use AI for images, however I prefer to not use it for main pieces of work, mainly proof reading and other ways to articulate what i want to say.
