This week I started by organising my blog. I created multiple categories so that my posts weren’t just in my project reflections. From week 1, I am definitely finding using WordPress much easier to use and navigate through. After some initial setbacks like not knowing why I had no categories and why my posts weren’t visible, I was able to go through the dashboard and fix this issue, just by publicising my posts, in which I though wasn’t necessary to just see it from my perspective.

Throughout the week I redesigned some elements of my chosen website Thames Rivercruise in response to my primary research: usability tests and my own analysis. I decided to redesign two elements and select 2 examples of what I found on other websites which could work for the Thames Rivercruise.

We had a Figma workshop on the Monday which will really help me with Project 3 the Experience Website as I learnt the importance of grids, layout and wire framing.

I took notes from a video which helped identify what I did right for the 4/5 usability tests. An article I read on Nielsen Norman Group helping to perfect my technique, taking notes which will help me with my last usability test.

On Thursday, Rob went through the Project 3 brief again to smooth out any issues we had and it gave me an opportunity to ask him where I could find some good quality images for my site: unsplash.
