After what I initially considered a major setback before Christmas, I am trying to get myself back on track, however there is still a lot of work to be done. I have finished my Problem statement research, statistical research and my user interviews.
Over the holidays I caught up on my production blog and made sure that it included images and looked visually appealing. I also did some research for my 3000 word essay – project 7. Initially wanting to do it on how companies interact with social media platforms, I changed it to how social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and instagram use gamification alongside algorithms which impact on user centred design.
I wrote my introduction, as well as some initial research and planned out how to structure each paragraph. This took a bit of time as I didn’t want to rush it and wanted to make sure I knew what to research for each of the platforms.
However I still need to type up both my subject matter interviews, competitor reviews, do more personas as the ones I had already done were for the hotels and resorts subject matter, as well as my proposition canvas. I am hoping to finish these all next week as well as start with my prototyping. I got some feedback from Rob on Thursday, who was pleased at the topic I chose, and discussed with him what I had in mind in terms of features in my app.
I am definitely feeling the pressure to do as much work as I can, however if I push through I believe I can do it as I am very determined to produce work that I am proud of.
