Coglode Activity with Mads

Dave recommended Coglode to the class as a way of marking up designs. Mads and I wanted to explore it further so we decided to mark up the mobile version of the Virgin Wines site.

Examples of some of the Coglode ‘nuggets’

Each nugget contains a design statement/theory, along with a brief description of what it means. They also all include a link to a more indepth description (usually with a study) on their website.

Personally, I found that this was a fun and interactive way of marking up, and I will definitely be using the ‘nuggets’ again in the future! As I got to know the ‘nuggets’ more I got quicker at placing them and marking up the site – so if I used them regularly, I could imagine them to be pretty efficient.

Above is the work we did. We didn’t spend too long on the exercise as we both agreed that its intended use was to “test out the waters” however, it was nice to have a bit of a fun break from the full-on team project. I’m sure I will be using this again in the future of this project.
