For my first times using Figma I’m very happy with the outcomes of my work so far this year. I believe if I had more knowledge of the software my work could be even better as I was having to spend lots of unnecessary time on creating simple buttons due to the lack of knowledge and experience I had. I did go down some paths of complicated work such as creating a calendar, which was quite a struggle and took several weeks to get correct.
While doing the first few projects at the beginning of the year I was wanting to learn as much as I possibly could with the help of tutors, technicians and youtube tutorials to hopefully progress further with the software.
Figma has been a software I’ve loved and hated during project 2 and 3 but with developing my understanding I now do feel far more confident. Some things such as creating variants, components and learning about flows is some of the aspects I still need to develop my knowledge on. As stated I was able to use the software to create my designs but do believe with further and greater understanding and educating will come greater outcomes.
I’m glad to be learning this software now with time to experience using it before I enter the industry outside of education.
