With this dissertation, I aimed to approach it with a methodical and pragmatic mindset where I am able to achieve tangible results, rather than solely replying on my intuition. Since this report was an essential part of my final research , I started looking for guidance on the web, exploring various aspects that needed to be considered.
With some research and guidance from the project brief I felt a bit more confident on structuring my proposal. This is where I segmented the Overall wordcount to further provide clarity and assist in putting together this proposal.
Area of research
With a clear structure in mind I started off with a blank a canvas on miro, and used post it notes to write down my interests. Initially, I considered conducting research in the field of fintech, focusing on how UX revolutionizes this integral part of our daily lives considering my previous study “Examining the impact of a User-Centred approach in the financial industry….”. Upon further reflection, I questioned whether this was truly the direction I wanted to pursue. I was eager to learn something different and vast. Therefore upon more reflection, I came up with the topic of “Exploring the Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence in UX, its Opportunities in various sectors, and how to navigate ethical complexities.”
An emerging trend is the increasing use of AI-based technology, this development brings numerous benefits, such as reducing human workload and enhancing efficiency, but they certainly come with drawbacks. My curiosity pushed me to further pursue this topic as the pivot of my dissertation. It resonated with me more to my desire of learning something new.
In my dissertation, I aimed to explore the use of AI in conjunction with UX across various sectors, including healthcare, education, the workplace, and agriculture. This report with examine both the advantages and disadvantages of the revolutionary growth of AI in UX.
Concluding my report, I was pretty contented with the scope of my research area and plan to dedicate the summer to further progress my final dissertation.
