Creating my video at the beginning was quite difficult but after asking peers and tutors for thoughts of my video I was able to make changes for the better

I decided that at the beginning I would have some questions show up on a beat then have ‘Many problems?’ show when the beat drops I did this to somewhat dramatise it as the climate crisis is a huge issue and transport and travel is a big part of this. The questions at the beginning are intended to be relatable to users feel like they are part of this problem but Green Routes app has the solution to help the individuals watching.

As stated in my presentation I chose in the app to use a few illustrations with the intention of giving the app some character. I carried this on throughout the promotional video to give some connects between the two that isn’t just the same screens.

Several people through user tests and interviews mentioned that travelling by car was convenient, which I found completely understandable but I wanted to show how a bus or taxi could actually sometimes be more convenient. Many people working in towns and cities sit in traffic everyday getting to work, many roads into these areas now have bus lanes (including taxi and cycling) which take over hundreds of cars at a stand still. I decided to show this through a visual representation of how frustrating being over taken by a bus feels when you are running late and can’t do anything about it.

The background for my video was this same green colour used throughout the app as it’s part of the brand identity same with the typography. Within the video I added some app screens with videos to show how the app should work and to how easy it is to book tickets with Green Routes.
