For project 2 I had to complete 5 User Testing. I chose to have people from User Experience Design to do these but have two tests from people who don’t study in this field, to get their perspective on the website. I gave each users an individual task to find an item on the website and discuss their process for getting to the point of purchasing the product.
User tests were incredibly insightful into what they found challenging about the website and what worked well for them. After completing all 5 user testings I got a transcript from each which then I turned into notes so their thoughts were clear. I then grouped the notes into three categories :
- Filters
- Checkout
- General UI
Some issues with the website came up more than once which will lead me onto how I approach redesigning the screens.
