Statistical Research

As the ball is now rolling with the project, it is appropriate timing to start developing the research which will in-turn inspire our designs, and give us direction when in the creation stage.

For the most part, I used statista to gather my data. Using this site, I can assure that the research is reliable, as most graphs are created using large studies and have been accredited to actually be on the site. I also used Unbounce as a source, which is also valid.

Within my research, I studied a range of relevant topics, which included (but aren’t limited to):

  • Marketing tools
  • CTA’s
  • Conversion rates

Some of my favourite facts/findings are:

  • 1.6% higher conversion rate in pages with one CTA rather than 2-4
  • A site that loads in 1 second has a conversion rate 5x higher than a site that loads in 10 seconds.
  • 70% of customers look for reviews

I will use these to develop my ideas further in my own designs, with the intention of improving the overall conversions of the voucher flow.
