Further Landing Page Research

Before designing our own low/ mid-fidelity designs, I felt that it was important to go over my landing page research and develop my research further in order to make the best prototype possible. During this exercise, I researched the ‘proper layout’, studied banners/ headers and took inspiration from other sites. Moreover, I studied what makes a website feel trustworthy… and the answer was social proof and testimonials (which as a group, we then decided to study further).

Another exercise I did, was using our old negative stickies and coming up with their solutions using a green sticky note. An example of this was the fact that the website lacked consistency in its alignment, so my solution was to make a solid grid system and to stick to it.

From my research, I was able to make a to-do list for what my future landing page should look like (which I used during the designing process) which provided to be very useful for the development of my mid-fidelity landing page design.
