As per academic principles and guidance of AI at Norwich University of the Arts, I am required to produce a statement of acknowledgement as part of my submission in reference to the use of AI within my studio work. To create this statement of acknowledgement I referenced “Statement of acknowledgement“ as accessible here.
1b. Use of AI to generate artefacts
I acknowledge the use of ChatGPT to generate artefacts of copy-text that I have edited and curated as part of my creative process. The artefacts I have generated using AI are (highlighted in green rectangles):

2. Record of all AI prompts
Prompt 1: “write a line of copy for a single day ticket of a punk rock festical”
Name of AI tool: ChatGPT
Output: https://chat.openai.com/share/fa63187f-607c-4ce6-b07c-fb6f2c5f0484
Prompt 2: ”write a short text for the “contact” page on my website, which is for a 2 day punk rock event called punkfest”
Name of AI tool: ChatGPT
Output: https://chat.openai.com/share/135390d6-a3c8-48fd-ae51-b19aa070f1ab
Details of how I used all of the AI outputs as listed above: Prompt 1 aided in the creation of highlighted areas within figure 1 and figure 2. Prompt 2 aided in the creation of highlighted areas within figure 3. I used these outputs to create engaging, appropriate typography that enhanced the quality of the outcome of the website prototype. I critically evaluated the outcomes of using AI to create copy-text in my website, with the understanding my outcome would be enhanced significantly with better, more engaging copy-text then I could have generated. By using elements of AI generated copy in my website, the site would likely attract more customers and produce a higher level of monitory income had the site been executed in reality, rather than being a prototype. Using AI throughout my studio work within this project, I have maintained an awareness and critical judgement about the purpose of using AI, only using it when necessary. I have considered the role of the designer as a partner and co-pilot with AI, rather than AI being the primary designer.
