We discussed a variety of friction and delight experiences as a group, in mobile apps and other contexts. This post summarises some of our ideas across both categories.

Friction

• Too much info in the Android weather app
• TikTok shop page in between for you and following
• Snapchat asks for contact permissions every day after saying no
• First Bus app is unintuitive, can’t see the realtime location of buses
• iOS apps use same colour palette

Delight

• Apple weather app is easy to use, displays lots of complex information clearly
• Purchase confirmations with animations and haptics
