We had a lecture from Greg Quinton who spoke to us about his work, experiences and gave us some advice on how to create interesting and useful designs.

I really enjoyed Greg’s talk because I found it incredibly inspiring and interesting. He mixed his talk with lots of different images, videos and inspirational quotes which made the talk so much better because there was a mix rather than it just being us talked at.

One thing that really stuck out to me was a drawing that Greg had done and showed us. It explained what standard work should be and how it can get there. He also spoke about that work is very rarely exceptional and even though we always aim for it, it does not really occur.

Greg spoke a lot about wit and how useful it is in design.
