This week is the week before hand in. I managed to finish project 5, completing all my usability tests. The feedback I got was really good and users said that the app was pretty self explanatory to use, especially as they got used to it more towards the end. I found this process to be the most fun as I was able to create the app fully as a prototype and see how it would function which felt really rewarding. Although I wanted the penguin pages that show that a user gained more points to be full of confetti, I really struggled with the Lottie files plugin as it didn’t let me upload any GIFS. I resulted in saving them as a PNG directly from Lottie files and importing them as a video. However this was an issue if I wanted to upscale the GIF’s. As a result I kept the loading GIF the same size, which didn’t matter as it was for an app. Upscaling the confetti GIF, meant that it was really blurry and didn’t work – but you can see what I intended for in my mid fidelity wireframes. Instead of keeping the page background white, I changed it to blue, which meant the page felt less bare. Although I didn’t have the time to achieve my end goal and figure out why my Lottie files plugin wasn’t working, I was still able make do with the situation, improvise and find an alternative route, even if it wasn’t the end goal I hoped for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I found the presentation to be fairly easy create as I had all the work done, it was just a case of me putting it all together for a pitch. However, creating my video in one day was very challenging. My laptop was lagging on after effects, but I am very grateful that I am familiar with the software…even if it did test my patience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although the hand in is getting very close and I still need to complete my JPEG’s for project 6, finish my portfolio, and do my personal planning folder, but I am always determined to hand in my work on time, no matter what, which means the work will be done by next Friday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
