To start the week I have began some of my project 4 research. I felt quite overwhelmed with the amount of information, however after breaking down the brief into smaller sections and using some of the other resources available under this project on the VLE, it became much more clear of how to tackle this project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I chose three of the UN sustainability goals to explore and did a small amount of research on them, being goals 7, 12 & 13. From this I chose goal 12 of the UN sustainability goals to do my project on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After choosing the Goal 12 which was — I decided to explore different problem areas. I look at general research to do with which gender is more inclined to be more responsible with their consumption and production, as well as inclined to make changes. I then looked at information available to do with fossil fuels, greenhouse gasses, plastic pollution and sustainable living and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After some initial research I did more research into sustainable tourism and decided to base my project around that as I found there weren’t many available apps for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I found it quite hard at the start to find some information on sustainability within the sustainable tourism sector, however once I started looking at articles and facts, it became clear what I needed to look for. Many issues like wastage of food, energy and awareness of eco friendly options for lodges, hotels and resorts became quite prominent in my research. This is why I saw it as a problem area and a good base to my project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also wrote down a few question that I could ask to the visiting lecturer, Jason Brown who could give me some insight into the energy sector. The questions were: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
