This project introduced me to evaluative research methods, empowering me to assess websites effectively and recognise those that truly meet user needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our initial task was to present goal-oriented user behavior by capturing step-by-step screenshots of the websites we selected for evaluation. To enhance the depth of our analysis, I also embraced the concept of heuristic markup, where I added insightful comments related to the usability and functionality of the websites we were exploring. It was emphasized that we should focus more on functionality rather than just the aesthetic aspects of design. My understanding of this task was further honed after receiving valuable feedback on my Miro board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the standout moments in this project was our exploration and application of Don Norman&#8217;s seven design principles to the websites under scrutiny. This exercise was not only illuminating but also significantly enhanced my ability to apply heuristic markup later in the project.
