During my research phase, my primary focus was on exploring websites related to food experiences. I delved into understanding what these websites offer, how they showcase their products, and whether the online representation aligns with the actual dining experience. Additionally, I examined the booking process to familiarise myself with common trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout this exploration, I found that many websites employ external booking systems, often redirecting users to external platforms. The specific theme I chose for my investigation was the cyberpunk dining experience. To delve deeper into this theme, I had to familiarize myself with the cyberpunk subculture. The research stage and discussions within the studio provided me with a better understanding, with some confusion due to the vast and diverse nature of this subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I progressed, I refined my idea to capture a brutalist, dystopian, and electric ambiance. My particular interest drew inspiration from the combination of robotic Asian elements and the architectural style of old Soviet brutalist structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second stage of my research aimed to understand the expectations of individuals immersed in the cyberpunk culture regarding themed restaurants. I found that preferences range from the Asian cuisines previously mentioned to various types of fast food. Fans of the cyberspace culture favor quick, convenient, and ready-to-eat meals over fine dining or pricey alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaining deeper insights into this specific topic involved engaging with a cyberpunk forum, where I posted several questions about their meal preferences and what they look for in dining experiences. Notably, energy drinks emerged as a significant component, alongside non-alcoholic beer and organically sourced drinks that border on the innovative realm of molecular gastronomy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I conceived the idea of designing a space that offers popular fast food choices, but with a unique twist on drinks and ready-made meals for takeaway. At that point, I was contemplating various thematic directions. My goal was to craft an ambiance that was electrifying, yet still deeply rooted in a heavy dystopian theme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
