This class demonstrated how easy it is to rapidly identify user-friendly interfaces that we appreciate, as well as what may be altered, isn&#8217;t intuitive, or is just incomprehensible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt took a long time for me to realize that my understanding of human behavior was relevant to my interest in the design of technology. As I watched people struggle with technology, it became clear that the difficulties were caused by the technology, not the people.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2015 <strong>Don Norman , The Design of Everyday Things<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement above provided an answer to a major question with which I had been struggling for years. Are we stupid, or is the design poor? My first instinct told me that if the product is publicly available, we have a lot to learn about its purpose, functionality, and so on. Donald Norman demonstrated that nothing could be further from the truth that if we struggle with product functionality, the product is poorly designed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During my studies, it is critical that I fall in love with the problem rather than the answer.
