Extra-reading for research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On this day, I was ill. However I contacted the group to discuss what had been developed during class that day, and to see what I can catch up with. I was assigned with two reading tasks, which the group had split between themselves. Dave had sent an email regarding the extra-reading and thus, we felt it was important to conduct in order to gain a wider understanding on topics which relate to our current studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When researching into ‘conversion’ I found it quite difficult to find information on the specific topic, as most of my searches were telling me about ‘conversion rates’ – due to their relation. I found it interesting learning about a topic that I had not read about before (likewise with Customer Lifetime Value’s), as I knew what it was and the idea of it, but not that it had a name. But it showed the importance of having good design in order to engross a customer and make them want to use a product. I wrote notes on pointers that the team can use in our own design, in order to get solid conversion rates – design ideas included things such as ensuring the site has good readability and that CTA’s are appropriately placed throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research into Customer Lifetime Value’s<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I found researching into CLTV’s equally as interesting as the previous topic, as I gained insight into the business-side of design which is something I had never explored before. I found that the CLTV is hugely important to marketing teams as it allows them to determine how much they should spend on advertising per customer, in order to make a monetary gain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
