During the weekend I wrote up notes on my findings from my usability tests and used the information to create a table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the table, I included an ‘in conclusion’ section where I identified important points from doing the tests and also highlighted how this will be important for my own site and its design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the ideas from my Miro board, I also started to develop some more wireframes. Along with this, I put the skills I learnt from the ‘Advanced XD Workshop’ into practise and started to add effects to the website. The aim of adding different effects to my website was to solidify my learning, rather than actually implementing them into my website – however, I do feel that they will be a good source of feedback for my users which should be considered in my website development at a later stage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

When it came to wireframing the ‘basket’ page, I was very unsure on what to do for my layout. Thus, I took the time to research a few websites with this feature in order to gain insight into how I could structure the page.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My first mock-up for the ‘basket’ page wasn’t entirely successful. I feel this way because I believe the balance between the different elements is off, and I have not made good use of the white space I have available. I continued developing this page (and others) on paper; this method worked better for me as I find myself able to generate ideas at a better pace and with less disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we were also briefed in for our next project Design for good<\/em>. The first step of this brief is to conduct generative research, this can include processes such as competitive research and usability tests, along with developing a problem statement. Moreover, the class was told to start considering problem areas regarding sustainability – but to focus our research on understanding the problem, not the solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
