This week was heavy on the workload. I set up the trello and got all of the logistical aspects done for leading the project. We all put our heads together (and down) to start things off right: with a commitment to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had our first scheduled touchbase meeting. We decided a time at the beginning of the week to make sure we are all on the same page, understanding what others are doing and not accidentally repeating work. This week was all about research (more further down the page), competitor analysis, and data gathering. We did strategic planning for what UX processes we needed to use so that we weren\u2019t using our time on unnecessary tasks. For example, we focused our statistical research around the impacts VW\u2019s cared about, like drop off and conversion, rather than general stats about the wine industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Touchbase, March 18<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hannah\u2019s Workshop was really informative. It was nice to learn about what she had done in the past and how that has brought her to now. I appreciated the very specific look into user interviews. I can definitely see myself referring back to these notes later when I am formulating testing questions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this week, we complied to heurstic markups we did separately. Rob, Max and I made IRl post-its to cover the main topics for addressing. We then transfered these to miro and started our research based on it. Each person on the team took a different angle for research, whether it was looking at the wine industry, specific checkout processes, other virgin brands, or general examples of something done well. Here\u2019s the dizzying amount of competitor research we completed before easter break:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research is going to carry over into easter. We spent the last friday before break creating a game plan. Overall, we wanted to move into design as swiftly as possible (and with a solid foundation of pre-work) so that we could make designs and have enough time to make multiple iterations, test, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Else<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I continued reading Ways of Being this week and started dreaming up ideas for a dissertation. I am a little overwhelmed with just how many<\/em> ideas I am getting \u2014 but am not surprised by my own reaction. It\u2019s reaffirming that I would do well working at the beginning stages of a project where it\u2019s brainstorming, ideation, playful design thinking\u2026and then having someone else help me narrow down to what\u2019s being focused on. But for now, it\u2019s all about idea generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had my interview with \u2018amurabi! It checked a lot of boxes for what I would nejoy doing and the head designer and I got on incredibly well. Keeping my fingers crossed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
