I suffer from severe anxiety, depression, and an eating disorder, which can affect my work. Sometimes I don&#8217;t have the energy to keep up, and while I never fall behind, my productivity can be inconsistent. I was concerned that this might inconvenience my group members. I also have frequent doctors&#8217; appointments for blood tests to monitor my nutritional health, which sometimes means missing class. I was anxious that my group members would find my absences frustrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, my group was very understanding when I needed to miss uni for health reasons, and they were supportive about my workload. Fortunately, the project itself was enjoyable, especially the design phase, which helped me focus. It provided a distraction from my struggles, and I found myself working late into the night experimenting with ideas and learning new skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project taught me that being passionate about work can help me overcome my challenges and that most people are understanding when it comes to personal issues. It also reminded me that I need to take care of my health, even if it means putting myself first sometimes. Despite these positive aspects, I tend to work intensely until I burn out, which is unsustainable. I need to find a better balance to avoid burning out and to maintain a healthier work ethic in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another aspect I need to work on is defending my ideas when tutors question them. If they express doubts or ask for the reasoning behind my choices, I often can&#8217;t articulate a confident response and end up deleting or changing my work to meet their expectations. Although the end product usually turns out fine, I feel like I&#8217;m not fully expressing my own creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, this project has been a journey of personal growth. I&#8217;ve learned that while I have my struggles, I shouldn&#8217;t put too much pressure on myself. I need to take things one step at a time and avoid overwhelming myself with work. Additionally, I need to work on explaining my design choices more confidently, as I tend to shut down when challenged.
