Over the three-week break, instead of starting new things, I tried to get everything I had already done up to scratch and to a good standard. For example, I worked back into Project 4 and started my first draft of Project 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although I was attempting to do some work, I also felt it was important to give myself a break as university had been so full-on for the first time. I think I needed to step back and take a moment to do what I wanted and see my home friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taking this break from work really allowed me to see it from a new perspective when coming back to it, which helped massively in the design process of the Project 5 app. I hit a sort of creative rut where I didn\u2019t know where I wanted to take the app or what style to adopt, but I knew I wasn\u2019t satisfied with what I was working on. Coming back to it was immensely helpful for idea generation, and I began making changes that instantly developed the project further, putting it in a good position for the teachers’ first draft feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this break, I also took the time to finish my essay’s first draft, ready for submission on the first day back. I did this through researching, making notes, and then writing it paragraph by paragraph, based on my findings, which I found to be the best way to get it done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, even though this break wasn\u2019t as productive as I had planned, due to unforeseeable circumstances, I feel as though I am in a good place to go back to university and really make headway with my projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
