During weeks 4 and 5, I made the decision to revisit and revamp my project 2 because I wasn’t satisfied with its initial outcome. I wanted to challenge myself further and enhance the project. To achieve this, I embarked on research and analysis of ‘CraftandCreate,’ an online arts and crafts store that offers a range of products, from paints to felting equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process of dissecting and analyzing the user flow of a website allows you to deeply understand the elements you would want to incorporate into your own website and areas that require improvement. Despite the added workload from revisiting project 2, I don’t consider it time wasted, as it provides me with more learning opportunities and the chance to discover new insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I selected ‘CraftandCreate’ for my analysis because my research indicated that over 55% of users found the website difficult to use and comprehend. Consequently, I decided to investigate this issue personally. As per the project’s instructions, I began by creating a user flow that represented one possible route a user might take when attempting to make a purchase, specifically for needle felting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I documented the journey, starting from the homepage and concluding at the payment and checkout section. Throughout the process, I captured screenshots of each step I took to reach the final destination. To ensure clarity, I added captions to each section, explaining what the user would experience during each step. Below is an image of the user flow I created using Miro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
