The week brought about its share of challenges and revelations, primarily stemming from the introduction of project 4. Here’s a detailed account of the key events and developments that shaped my week.

Project 3 commanded much of my attention. I delved deep into the project, aiming to refine my concepts and bring them to a point of clarity and completeness. Simultaneously, I decided to breathe new life into project 2. The motivation behind this was a lingering sense of dissatisfaction with the initial outcomes. I believed in my ability to deliver a better result, and I was determined to make it happen.

As I delved into the rework of project 2, the results were evident immediately. The second attempt at this project was yielding far better outcomes than the first iteration, and this progress brought a sense of accomplishment that validated my decision to revisit it.

One of the pivotal moments of the week occurred on Thursday when we received the project 4 briefing. The sheer volume of information and the complexity of the task at hand felt overwhelming. The depth and breadth of information presented left me grappling with the enormity of the project. It was clear that this undertaking would be a significant test of my design skills.

The week began with a focus on refining the wireframes for project 3. I dedicated time to make these wireframes more detailed and dynamic. Visualizing how the webpages would appear as users scrolled down was an engaging exercise that injected a sense of life into my concepts.

In addition to the wireframes, I turned my attention to the tone of voice and body copy for the project. Given the chosen theme and the target audience of gamers, I decided to adopt an upbeat and fun tone. This decision was driven by the need to resonate with the audience and maintain a sense of enthusiasm throughout the project.

While the wireframes were nearing completion, I couldn’t help but ponder the elements that would make their way into the low-fidelity design on Figma. Questions about color palettes and the placement of images in relation to text continued to occupy my thoughts. These considerations were considerably more complex than what I had encountered in previous projects, but I was gradually coming to grips with the intricacies.

As the week progressed, I dedicated time to improve the professionalism of the project 3 sitemap. The initial creation of the sitemap had left me somewhat uncertain about the approach. However, after conducting further research and gaining a clearer understanding, I revisited it to give it a more polished and cohesive appearance.

A significant decision was made midweek as I chose to return to project 2. My initial choice of the website for analysis had left me dissatisfied. While the challenge was appreciated, the complexity had made the task more daunting than educational. After some research, I found a website called ‘CraftandCreate,’ which, in my opinion, needed significant improvement. It appeared outdated, lacked user-friendliness, and seemed to lack effort in terms of user experience.

The journey with project 2 began with the creation of a user flow, followed by an analysis of the website using Don Norman’s 7 principles and finally the sitemap and heuristic markup.
