  • data: excel, google sheets
  • meetings: typically 8-12 hours of meehngs per week
  • Ux follows a process – businesses want to move faster.
  • educate people en the value of what you do and why it’s
  • Important →
    • “lets test when we go live” X
    • “ask what people want… a faster horse” X
    • “I know what users want, i’m the…” X
  • practice giving and recieving feedback
  • justifying your desgns to indifferent /bored people
  • you are not your idea
  • seek out people who are willing to level with you.
  • Here’s what the solution should be rather than the problem to be solved

Top 10 tips

  • Be nice (but not a pushover) → who you know is really important
  • work with talented people –
  • work with people smarter better than you
  • ask to sit in on a client presentation
  • Challenge people → respectfully
  • be open to people challenging you
  • you’re an expert
  • you have advantages → young, new, up for it, grown up with apps → Go for it → It’s a marathon, not a sprint
  • Be reliable – What does your manager value?
  • you will mess up → it doesn’t matter
  • ask why → don’t just be receptive, be perspective and proactive
