{"id":336,"date":"2024-02-21T21:17:32","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T21:17:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nua-ux.design\/ellana-skye-evans\/blog\/?p=336"},"modified":"2024-05-13T10:18:51","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T10:18:51","slug":"lecture-wmhi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nua-ux.design\/ellana-skye-evans\/blog\/lectures\/lecture-wmhi\/","title":{"rendered":"Lecture: WMH&#038;I"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This talk had two speakers one being Rachel Cottrell and the other being Mark Nichols who both studied at Norwich University Of The Arts.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rachel Cottrell graduated from Norwich University Of The Arts and is now a designer that has been working at WMH&amp;I for the past year. While studying at university she had internships at Magpie Studio and gives advice encouraging internships during university. She mentioned that while she was studying for her degree she has always had a pro-active nature which helped get the amount of experience she has. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second speaker was Mark Nichols who also graduated from NUA where he did the same as Cottrell with having several different internships while studying, before he began to do paid work. His aim for design work isn&#8217;t to make stuff look pretty but to create a story through the images, which helps him to create a tone of voice for every company he works with. He gave advice during his talk to make the most of studios and work placement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company takes prides in their statement of &#8216;THE POWER OF CREATIVITY&#8217;. They believe as a team they want to stand out, be different and never stay the same. WMH&amp;I believes that brands and businesses need to stand up, stand for something and stand out so that they can forever evolve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WMH&amp;I is a multi disciplinary agency which covers motions, packaging, campaigning and much more work.
